Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
• Mid-Level: 4 to 6 years of experience as a Social Studies Teacher
• Strong knowledge of Social Studies curriculum and instructional best practices
• Excellent classroom management and time management skills
• Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in the academic and personal development of students
• Proficiency in using digital tools and technology for instruction
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and administrators
• Organizational skills and attention to detail

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum for Social Studies classes, including creating lesson plans and instructional materials
• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and engagement
• Assess student performance and progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to develop interdisciplinary units and projects
• Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of Social Studies education, incorporating new teaching strategies and resources
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and academic achievements
• Provide additional support and guidance to students who may require extra assistance
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
